Sharing the same root

The planning of this painting is a bit different from other paintings which I had created. I had always wanted to paint something about nerve cells. I was inspired when I saw an image of a nerve culture cell with intersecting nerves which is stunningly beautiful (www.sciencephoto.com/ media/462073) and wanted to paint something like that.
Then I had a bigger idea: To grow lives out of the roots to imply a message that “every living being comes from the same ancestor”. I know the first living organism on earth should look more like a bacteria than a weird-looking sponge ball with tentacles (or roots), but this is just a symbolic painting.
So just enjoy the colours and composition and also the message “Sharing the same root”!
